NFLM (NightFlame) Utility Token Whitepaper

Access token for NightFlame Academy and related Discord community

1. Purpose and Scope

This whitepaper describes NFLM (NightFlame), a utility token whose primary purpose is to provide access to NightFlame Academy and related community features (including token-gated Discord roles and channels). NFLM is designed as an access credential, not as an investment product. This document is informational only and is not legal, tax, investment, or financial advice. Nothing in this paper constitutes an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any digital asset.

2. Key Notices

Utility only. NFLM does not represent equity or ownership, does not provide dividends or revenue share, and does not confer governance rights over NightFlame operations. High risk. Digital assets can be extremely volatile and may become illiquid; you can lose all of the value you pay for them. Self-custody. Users are responsible for wallet security and for complying with applicable laws. Jurisdictional restrictions. The token and services are not intended for users in restricted jurisdictions (see Section 11).

3. Executive Summary

NightFlame is an educational platform and community. NFLM is used as an access credential: users who hold at least a configured minimum balance of NFLM in a self-custody Solana wallet can unlock premium content in NightFlame Academy and can link their wallet to Discord for gated roles and channels. NFLM is expected to be acquired on decentralized exchanges (DeFi venues) via secondary-market trading. NightFlame does not conduct a public sale of NFLM in restricted jurisdictions and does not custody user funds for token purchases.

4. NightFlame Ecosystem Overview

The NightFlame ecosystem includes: • Nightflame.xyz (web gateway): wallet connection, token balance verification, and Discord linking. • NightFlame Academy: token-gated education site. • NightFlame Documentation: user guidance, policies, and disclosures. • Discord community: token-gated channels managed through Discord role connections. NightFlame’s services are educational in nature. Community access is moderated; holding tokens does not override community rules.  

5. NFLM Token Overview

Token specification (publicly verifiable on-chain):

On-chain properties such as decimals, total supply, and holder distribution are publicly verifiable using Solana block explorers by searching for the mint address above. On-chain authorities (e.g., mint authority and freeze authority) determine whether supply can be increased or whether token accounts can be frozen. These settings are also publicly verifiable on-chain; users should check them before acquiring NFLM.

6. Utility and Access Model

6.1 Token-gated Academy access

Access to NightFlame Academy is controlled by a token gate. Users connect a self-custody Solana wallet and sign a short message containing a nonce. The backend verifies the signature and checks the on-chain balance of NFLM. If the wallet balance meets or exceeds the required minimum, the user receives a signed session token (stored as a secure cookie) and may access token-gated pages. If the balance later falls below the minimum (for example, due to transfers or sales), access may be removed the next time verification is required. Gate threshold: the minimum balance is a configurable parameter. Public documentation references a threshold of 500 NFLM, while the web gateway displays the actively configured requirement; the on-site requirement is authoritative.

6.2 Discord linking and gated roles

Users may optionally link Discord to associate their wallet with Discord role connections. Linking requires Discord OAuth authorization. After linking, NightFlame can write eligibility metadata so Discord can assign roles and unlock channels. Access is functionally transferable: if tokens are transferred to another wallet, the new holder can verify and gain access. NightFlame may restrict or revoke community access for rules violations, even if a wallet meets the token threshold.

6.3 What NFLM does NOT provide

NFLM does not provide ownership, equity, or profit participation; governance rights; guarantees of continued service availability or future feature delivery; or refunds for secondary-market token purchases.

7. Technical Architecture

7.1 Verification flow

High-level flow: (1) user connects a Solana wallet on Nightflame.xyz; (2) NightFlame generates a nonce and requests a signature; (3) backend verifies signature and checks NFLM balance; (4) if eligible, backend issues a signed session cookie used by NightFlame Academy middleware to allow access; (5) optional Discord linking updates role-connection metadata. The implementation includes replay protection (nonce), signature verification, rate limiting, host allowlisting, and balance-check caching.

7.2 Token balance checks

Balance verification queries SPL token accounts for the configured mint and supports token program variants commonly used on Solana (including SPL Token Program and Token-2022-style account layouts).

7.3 Operational dependencies

The token gate depends on third-party infrastructure, including Solana RPC providers and Discord APIs. If these services are degraded, balance checks, Discord linking, or access may be delayed or unavailable.

8. Token Acquisition and Liquidity

NFLM is intended to be acquired through decentralized exchanges and liquidity pools. Trades on third-party venues are subject to slippage, MEV, pool liquidity, and smart-contract risks. NightFlame does not custody user funds, does not execute trades on behalf of users, and does not guarantee liquidity on any venue.

9. Privacy and Data Handling

NightFlame aims to minimize data collection. For token gating, the system processes: (i) the public wallet address, (ii) a signed message and signature (to verify wallet control), and (iii) a short-lived nonce (to prevent replay attacks). For Discord linking (optional), NightFlame may store a Discord user identifier and encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain role connections. The services also collect standard operational data (such as IP address and basic device/browser data) for security and abuse prevention. See the Privacy Policy for details.

10. Risk Factors

Key risks include: price volatility and potential total loss; liquidity risk; blockchain and smart-contract risks (including irreversible transactions); wallet security risks (phishing, malware, compromised seed phrases); third-party integration risks (RPC providers, Discord API changes); and regulatory uncertainty. Users should review the General Risk Disclosures before acquiring or using NFLM.

11. Jurisdictional Restrictions and Compliance

NFLM and NightFlame services are not offered to residents of, or persons located in, jurisdictions where such activities are restricted or unlawful. Based on project policies, NFLM is not intended to be offered in the United States, the EU, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws, sanctions, and export controls.

12. Roadmap (Indicative)

NightFlame’s roadmap is product-driven and may evolve. Indicative directions include: expanding Academy content; improving verification UX and reliability; enhancing Discord role automation and monitoring; and publishing additional transparency materials. Nothing in this section is a commitment, guarantee, or promise of future delivery.
